Tonight is the conclusion of our four-week Theology on Tap series at The Greene Turtle in Fell's Point*! Our guest speaker, Lindsey Hepburn, is a mother of two based in Havre de Grace, MD; she is also an alumna of the Franciscan University of Steubenville with a degree in theology and works as a regional vice president of Arbonne. Lindsey will give the talk, Being What God Made You to Be: The Call to Greatness.

Feel free to join the Theology on Tap - Fell's Point core team and guest speaker for dinner at 6:15 p.m. Or, you can elect to arrive at 7 p.m. for a "happy half hour." The talk will commence at 7:30 p.m. Following the talk will be a time for the audience to ask our guest speaker questions, and then there will be a period for additional fellowship.

River Tubing at Gunpowder Falls State Park

Join us for river tubing at Gunpowder Falls State Park! We'll meet at the parking lot of SS. Philip and James Parish at 10 AM and carpool to and from the park. We'll return to the parking lot no later than 3 or 4 PM.

There's no cost to access the park simply for tubing, but please be aware that one-day tube rental from a nearby store (the Monkton Bike Shop, at 1900 Monkton Road, Monkton, MD 21211) is $15 each. We'll float from an agreed-upon spot along the Big Gunpowder Falls to the bike shop. Regarding lunch, it's up to you to bring your own lunch or eat at the bike shop's cafe.

Theology on Tap with Matt Fish

Matt is a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Washington studying at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. Matt will talk about the theological virtue hope: its importance and how its right understanding and exercise can change the way one lives one's life.

Frassati Night: July 2013 (Featuring the Third Beatitude)

Come to the Baltimore Frassati Fellowship's monthly night of worship at Saints Philip and James Church! Adore the Lord in the Eucharist with praise and worship. There will also be a talk and opportunities for confession followed by a time of fellowship in the parish hall.

This month, we welcome guest speaker Brother Alan Piper, OP, of the Dominican Friars of the Province of Saint Joseph; he will continue our series on the Beatitudes with a talk on the Third Beatitude: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land" (Matthew 5:5). Brother Alan is studying at the Dominican House of Studies and is one of two Dominican brothers serving at Saints Philip and James Parish for the summer.

Our summer four-week Theology on Tap series at The Greene Turtle in Fell's Point* continues with guest speaker Tim Watkins. Tim is the president and CEO of Renegade Communications, as well as the founder of Leo McWatkins Films; among his recent works is the two-time Telly Award-winning documentary The Blood and the Rose, which is about Our Lady of Guadalupe. Tim will give the talk, He Is Greater Than I, No Matter Where I Am.

This will be the beginning of our summer four-week Theology on Tap series at The Greene Turtle in Fell's Point*! Join the Baltimore Frassati Fellowship and young adults from the Archdiocese of Baltimore for fellowship and a talk by Dino Remedios. Dino, a father of three, a high school teacher, and a candidate for a Doctorate of Sacred Theology at the International Marian Institute, will give the talk, Faith Modernity, and the New Evangelization.

The feast day of Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati is July 4! Join us for Mass at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 at the side chapel of Saints Philip and James Church (see the map of the parish grounds). After Mass, we'll go out to brunch together.

In addition, FrassatiUSA is calling for a novena requesting the intercession of Bl. Pier Giorgio from Tuesday, June 25 to Wednesday, July 3 as part of a celebration of his feast day. For more information, visit the FrassatiUSA webpage about his feast day.
