We're gathering a group of volunteers for the Dot Dash 8K race, which will benefit the National Federation of the Blind (NFB)! We'll depart from the parking lot of SS. Philip and James Church at 6 a.m; volunteers need to arrive at the NFB headquarters (at 200 East Wells Street, Baltimore, MD 21230) by 6:45 a.m. You can also meet us at the NFB headquarters. We've been informed that volunteers can park in their garage that morning, and there will be free breakfast provided by Corner Bakery Cafe! Volunteers will serve as course monitors (i.e., calling out the course miles and making sure the runners stay on the course) and finish line monitors to move runners forward after they finish; volunteers will also assist at the registration and food tables, with baggage storage, and with clean-up. If you have questions about our particular volunteer group, please e-mail service@baltimorefrassati.org. For more information about the Dot Dash 8K race itself, visit https://nfb.org/dot-dash-8k.
